About Ariel
I am a 22-year-old Malaysian citizen and a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Texas Tech University. Having worked as a private tutor in high school and later as a Community Advisor and Peer Mentor at university, I have developed a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds. I believe that effective education extends beyond academic achievement; my goal is to help students build confidence, develop independent learning skills, and cultivate the critical thinking abilities necessary for long-term success both inside and outside the classroom.

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation before moving on to problem-solving and exam preparation. Rather than encouraging memorization, I help students understand the underlying principles behind each topic so they can confidently apply their knowledge to new questions and real-world situations.
Lessons are tailored to each student's learning style and goals. I typically begin by reviewing key concepts, followed by guided examples, practice questions, and independent problem-solving with feedback. For Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering subjects, I emphasize analytical thinking and structured problem-solving techniques. For English, I focus on reading comprehension, writing clarity, grammar, and effective communication skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on the student's level and needs. I also provide additional practice materials and study strategies to reinforce learning between sessions.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and achieved a TOEFL iBT score of 116/120 and a SAT Reading and Writing Score of 740/800, demonstrating advanced English proficiency. My academic background allows me to teach a wide range of STEM subjects while effectively communicating complex concepts in a clear and approachable manner.
My lessons are suitable for primary school, secondary school, IGCSE, SPM, A-Level, STPM, foundation, diploma, and undergraduate students. I teach students of various ages and ability levels, adapting my pace and teaching methods to help each learner achieve their academic goals.
