About Ava
I’m a senior in high school, currently enrolled in a dual-credit college class program. I’m an officer in my school's Model UN club, and a Graphic Arts major. My pastimes include art, reading, writing, and playing the guitar. I have a 3.7 GPA, and I work two jobs. I have two younger siblings (who get free tutoring), and I tutor at the community college in my area.

During tutoring, I aim to focus study time and lessons on areas students are struggling with, and connecting those areas to topics students excel in. Since kindergarten, English has been my strongest subject in school, with consistently straight A’s; I hope to use my skills to help other students in need, because I believe literacy is one of the most important subjects taught in schools. Literacy makes up our entire world, whether it’s a discussion on politics, or an ad in a movie theater. K-11 students would benefit most from my tutoring. I don’t tutor AP students, and I typically don’t cover specific readings (though some exceptions can be made).
