Communication and sincere concern for the student’s success is imperative for being a successful educator. The educator must not view his or her position as “just a job” as it is a great injustice to the students and can harm them as well; which is absolutely unacceptable. Educators are in the classroom to facilitate the student’s growth and success. Adapting to the changing trends of sustainability and environmental impact of design is imperative for the student’s success.
It is the educator’s responsibility to facilitate and adapt to the individual learning styles of students. Educators must develop different approaches to teaching if they can see that he or she is not successfully getting through to the student. Teaching is a wonderful collaborative and integrated process where students become innovative designers and professionals.
