About Natalie
Simply put, I love teaching. Whether you’re a child or a senior citizen, I want you to learn from my instruction. As a student who had difficulty in mathematics courses in grade school (and college), I benefitted greatly from clear, supported tutoring by someone who knew how to explain it to me. Now, I keep that need for clear, patient, and skilled guidance in mind whenever I help my clients.

I scaffold my lessons by activating students’ prior knowledge through questioning and guiding them to a point where they can explain the basic steps of the given material to me. After that, I work through examples of the type of problem or concept at hand and gradually remove my support to encourage the student’s lead in problem solving.
