GRE quant tests the intuitive and logical understanding of a problem statement rather than a step by step solution. The dynamic questioning system also requires the sense of time as we move forward. Hence much of the formulae based approach (while important) isn't the only useful thing in cracking the exam. So we try to explore and understand the concepts of mathematics and apply them intuitively and solve the problems effectively and efficiently.
