About Tanya
Hi, I’m Tanya, a UWA Commerce student with an assured pathway to the Juris Doctor. I have a strong passion for finance subjects and excelled at them in high school as shown by my marks. I achieved a final mark of 91% for Economics, and received the Economics ATAR award for 2025 (Rank 1), while I completed accounting ATAR with a final score of 88% and placed in the top 10 of my cohort. I chose to teach these subjects because I genuinely enjoyed studying them in high school and understand how challenging they can feel at first especially when students don't have a clear grasp of the basic concepts.
I want to help students move beyond memorization and actually understand how concepts work, so they feel confident approaching exams. Having recently completed ATAR myself in 2025, I know what strategies work and how to maximize marks. My goal is to make these subjects clearer, more manageable, and even enjoyable, while helping students achieve the best results they can.

My teaching approach focuses on ensuring students fully understand concepts rather than relying on memorization, allowing them to apply knowledge confidently in exams. Lessons are typically 1 hour, with flexibility to extend if needed. I currently tutor at a GATE tutoring company, gaining experience working with younger students, which helped me learn how to simplify concepts to make them easier to understand. My lessons are designed for Year 11–12 ATAR Economics and Accounting and Finance students.
