About Minahil
Just like you, I was in a position several years ago where I needed a tutor to help with my GCSE's. I was blessed enough to get a really good tutor who helped me with several subjects and that's when I realised the importance of a good tutor who can help you when your teachers can't at school. I excelled at my GCSE's with several A* and A's and always give credit to the people who helped me! Of course, it doesn't take away from the effort that one puts in themselves as well!
Then, when I started my university journey, I started working as a professional tutor with an award-winning charity organisation 'The Tutor Trust'. Ever since then, I've been helping students with their GCSE Maths and SATS Maths & English.
When I saw the pupils finally understanding a concept or simply appearing more joyful and confident, I felt proud that I was able to do my job well too.
Furthermore, I'm also a Deputy Manager in a childcare setting thus have worked with children from various age ranges for 6+ years now (Hence also DBS checked).
I have a passion for helping people out, especially students with their academias as I understand how competitive it is out there and how SATs as well as GCSE's are the bases that shape your future!

As a tutor who's taught various age ranges (from 10 years old children to mature students in their late 40s), I believe in tackling the problem from its roots. My technique is to always assess the pupil in their first lesson and ask them to walk me through how they solve a paper/question. This allows me to catch exactly where you're making a mistake, have a misconception about a specific concept as well as learn the pattern of your problem solving skills.
This enables me to tailor my teaching style to YOUR needs and how you learn. Whether it's teaching children fun tricks to get to an answer quickly or thoroughly explaining a concept so there's no room left for confusion, I'm confident you'll always leave the lesson feeling motivated and having learnt something.
Previous parents feedback as well as my pupil's school results bring me immense happiness and satisfaction that I've been able to help.
The length of a lesson typically is 1 hour but sometimes increases depending on the progress of the question we're attempting.
After the initial assessment, the lessons will consist of learning the concept and doing as many questions as possible as the important skill to learn is problem solving and consistent practise is what makes that perfect!
My qualifications: BSc Economics and Finance, currently pursuing an MSc in Applied Economics.
Experience: Professional Tutor for 6+ years
Deputy Manager at a nursery (been working with children for 6+ years hence DBS checked)
My lessons are mainly curated for students sitting their SATS and GCSE Maths.
