About Findlay
I am Findlay Hay and I am a student currently studying Economics BSc at the University of Leeds. In my spare time I enjoy to play and watch football. At A levels I took Biology, Chemistry and Economics, achieving A*, A* and A respectively, as well as 5 grade 9's and 5 grade 8's at GCSE level. I would like to get into teaching as I love sharing my knowledge with students and helping them understand topics they struggled with before. The sense of pride I achieved when teaching the class topics they struggled with is what gives me this love for teaching.

My teaching techniques involve using my age to best help the students. Having just completed my A levels, and being of an age close to the student, I can explain concepts in ways that are relevant to the present time using phrases which will be easy to understand for students of this age. Having got A* in both Chemistry and Biology at A-level, I also have the essential background knowledge to teach this subject, and will always refresh my knowledge before lessons to make sure I'm as prepared as possible to teach to the best effect. Lessons will typically last an hour but can do longer lessons if requested.
