About Ishara
My passion for economics began with curiosity about the forces shaping human behavior, markets, and societies. Over eight years, I have guided students from introductory concepts to advanced economic analysis, helping them develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Watching learners connect theory to real-world situations and develop strategic perspectives is deeply rewarding and drives my dedication to teaching. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability. Every student has a unique perspective and learning style, so I tailor lessons with interactive discussions, examples, and exercises to engage and challenge learners. I emphasize critical thinking, real-world application, and intellectual curiosity to foster deep understanding. Economics is the study of how individuals, businesses, and societies allocate resources, and my lessons begin by making abstract principles tangible and relevant. Beginners focus on foundational concepts such as supply and demand, markets, opportunity cost, and basic microeconomic and macroeconomic principles. I use real-world examples, case studies, and interactive discussions to help learners understand how economic theory applies to everyday life, business decisions, and societal trends. This approach fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and engagement.
Intermediate learners explore more complex topics, including market structures, elasticity, government intervention, fiscal and monetary policies, and data interpretation. Lessons incorporate problem-solving exercises, case analyses, and discussions on current economic issues. Students learn to apply theory to practical scenarios, develop analytical reasoning, and understand the implications of economic decisions. They also gain confidence in evaluating data, interpreting trends, and constructing logical arguments.
Advanced learners engage with international economics, econometrics, behavioral economics, and economic modeling. I guide students to analyze real-world economic problems, evaluate policies, and use quantitative and qualitative methods to make informed decisions.
