About Luke
Above all else, I’m a very patient person. I have struggled with education in the past, I am neurodivergent and know how difficult it is to cope with the obstacles that life throws at you - both inside and outside of the classroom. Please don’t be afraid to say that you don’t understand, or ask me to go over something again with you in a different way. The important thing is that I’m here to help. It’s precisely this that motivates me to teach. I’m extremely proud to say I tutor numerous students and it was through this that I intend to become a maths teacher myself.
As for my education, I got an A* in A Level maths and am working toward a first class BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.

Before we start our lessons, I’d love to get to know a bit about what you struggle with in maths - it’s alright if you don’t know, we can figure it out together.
A typical look at what our lesson would be:
- 15 minute presentation on a topic that we’re dealing with, using my own slides (no AI here). These will of course be interactive, and you can ask questions whenever you need to! I like to explain intuitively - I believe that it is better to tell you why something is the case than to tell you to memorise it.
- 40 mins of going through questions that I send over to you, these are going to challenge you as they’ll go beyond the topic that we did, we can work through them together.
- 5 minutes at the end to reflect on what we’ve gone over.
Of course this is flexible - we can tailor lesson plans to your needs.
