My method of approaching the student is very basic:
01. Everybody has their own way of remembering stuff. It is important to know which method is used by the one who is need of these lessons.
02. Why does the person lack behind in that subject?
03. Targeting those areas and seeing the results. If they work, then keep practicing in that area. If they don't then try till they reach their desired results.
04. Some students just need to be pushed to do the work. If you're one of them. Then encouraging them would be the best option. So they don't rely on the tutor in the future. And can be one themselves.
