About Ava
My interest in economics developed through observing how policies and markets influence everyday life. This curiosity led me to complete a B.A. in Economics followed by an M.Sc. in Applied Economics, where I developed strong analytical and quantitative skills. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped students navigate economic concepts with clarity and confidence.
I believe economics should feel logical and relevant. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex ideas, using real-world examples, and encouraging students to think critically about economic decisions. I create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with economic research, policy analysis, and global economic developments. This ongoing learning enriches my lessons and keeps them relevant. Teaching economics is rewarding because I see students grow into informed thinkers who can analyze issues thoughtfully and independently.

Economics becomes clearer when students understand how theory explains real-world behavior. My lessons focus on connecting economic concepts such as supply and demand, elasticity, production, market structures, and macroeconomic policy to everyday examples. I emphasize logical reasoning and cause-and-effect relationships so learners can understand not only economic models but also their practical implications. Concepts are introduced gradually, allowing students to build a strong analytical framework.
Lesson structure is tailored to the learner’s academic level. Beginners focus on basic economic principles, graphs, and terminology with patient guidance. Intermediate learners explore microeconomic decision-making, cost analysis, market equilibrium, and introductory macroeconomic indicators.
