About Sierra
I developed a passion for economics during my undergraduate studies, earning a B.A. in Economics and dedicating the past eight years to teaching learners across various academic levels. I enjoy helping students grasp both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject while fostering analytical thinking and curiosity. My teaching approach is structured, patient, and designed to inspire confidence and independent reasoning. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students preparing for school exams, advanced studies, and competitive assessments. I focus on creating an engaging learning environment using examples, case studies, and practical exercises. Many students initially find economics abstract, but step-by-step guidance and contextual applications help them build mastery and enthusiasm for the subject. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with current economic developments, research articles, and practical case studies. These experiences enrich my lessons and allow me to offer students real-world perspectives. My Economics lessons start with foundational concepts such as supply and demand, market equilibrium, and basic economic reasoning. I use clear examples, real-world case studies, and step-by-step explanations to ensure students grasp both theory and practical applications. Early exercises focus on strengthening understanding and confidence, encouraging students to relate economic principles to everyday experiences.
As learners progress, we explore intermediate topics like production, cost analysis, fiscal and monetary policies, and international trade. I emphasize analytical thinking, reasoning skills, and the application of concepts to current economic issues. Structured exercises, data interpretation, and discussion-based learning help students connect theory with practice while enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
For advanced learners, lessons cover macroeconomic modeling, game theory, behavioral economics, and exam preparation strategies. Students practice analyzing complex scenarios, interpreting economic data, and applying theoretical frameworks logically. My goal is to help learners build mastery, confidence, and the ability to approach economic problems thoughtfully, while cultivating a lifelong interest in understanding markets and society.
