About Riley
My interest in Economics arose from observing how decisions influence societies, businesses, and individual lives. This led me to pursue a B.A. in Economics and Development Studies, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied economics. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped students develop analytical thinking, practical problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of economic concepts through engaging, structured lessons. I believe that learning Economics should be interactive, practical, and tailored to each student’s pace and style. I use real-world examples, diagrams, and guided exercises to help learners grasp concepts clearly and build confidence in applying them. I foster a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent reasoning. Outside the classroom, I follow contemporary economic research, attend seminars, and integrate current events into lessons. These activities keep my teaching fresh and relevant. Helping students gain insight into the functioning of markets and economies while developing strong analytical skills is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching career.

My lessons emphasize clarity, step-by-step reasoning, and active exploration, which helps learners build strong foundational knowledge and confidence. Intermediate lessons cover elasticity, production and cost functions, market efficiency, macroeconomic indicators like GDP and inflation, and fiscal policy. I guide students through reading graphs, analyzing data, and understanding the relationships between different economic variables. Exercises are designed to strengthen analytical skills, logical reasoning, and the ability to interpret real-world problems using economic principles. Advanced lessons explore international trade, monetary policy, economic growth, environmental economics, and case study analysis. Students learn to critically assess economic issues, structure arguments, and apply knowledge systematically. By combining theory with practical examples, I ensure students not only prepare effectively for exams but also develop long-term analytical and decision-making skills that extend beyond the classroom.
