My name is Mark, I am an academic (B.A., B.Sc., M.A.) with significant experience in education: research, teaching, writing and editing. I enjoy athletics and often go to the gym, run, cycle, or box. My approach is to create a set of rules for a discipline, starting with the most important or general rule, and to use examples for each rule. These rules are linked logically - often by explaining their historical connections, although sometimes purely conceptually - and thus they form a sequential set. Any material is clear this way, and much easier to memorize! I use this strategy for upper level high school students and undergraduates. What is most important is your understanding and memory and making the process accessible.
