About Jax
I have been tutoring since 2015 and work at the student's pace. I aim to help them achieve their goals by meeting the student where they're at but still challenging them to learn more. I believe that while doing well in a subject is important, the study skills and love of learning that is developed is much more important.

I first see the student's baseline to see where I can help and what their curriculum requires. We start by going over homework and any questions the student has in their classes before starting the lesson for the day. I answer questions throughout the lesson before assigning homework. Each session is about an hour long but can be adjusted for each student's ability and attention span. I can teach K-12 for any math up to geometry/algebra 2. I seek to teach the student the "why" behind concepts as I believe it helps the lesson to stick in the brain better and helps the student understand the concept better.
