About Kelly
With over 20 years of experience working with students, I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. As a certified ADHD and Executive Function coach, I specialize in identifying each student's individual strengths and challenges to provide personalized, targeted support. I use a structured literacy approach grounded in the science of reading and delivered through multisensory methods, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, to develop essential phonics, decoding, and encoding skills. I have experience and training in the Orton-Gillingham method and work with students using a structured, multisensory approach to teach reading and spelling, especially beneficial for learners with dyslexia. I support the development of phonics, decoding, and encoding skills through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modalities, using small, incremental steps to build a strong foundation in language. This personalized instruction improves reading fluency, spelling, and confidence. In addition to literacy support, I also serve as an Executive Function Coach, helping students identify strengths and challenges in areas like organization, time management, and focus. By combining evidence-based reading instruction with targeted executive function strategies, I empower students to develop the tools they need for academic success and greater independence both in and out of the classroom.
