About Wikus
I have a B.Sc (hons) degree in Botany and Zoology. I have five years formal experience as a teacher and 32 years experience as an environmental educator. During my time as environmental educator I started an environmental competition for grade 6 learners, which has expanded to a major event in the Free State, reaching more than 4000 learners every year. I have a passion to make natural science easy and assure you of my best service at all times.

With good teaching natural science and life sciences can be made easy to understand. In my participatory manner of teaching I involve the learners to make it a fun learning experience. By making the learner part of the lesson it grabs his/her attention and focus their minds on the topic under discussion. Natural science learners are often daunted by the sheer workload, but in my lessons I attempt to get the learners to visualize the topic and understand it instead of only memorizing it. I teach all school levels in English and Afrikaans.
