I am a certified educator with training and experience in teaching the rudiments of reading and writing. Beginning with identifying the gaps in reading and comprehension skill deficiencies can be identified and remedied. With more than twenty years of classroom experience, I've taught hundreds of students of varying ages, the skills needed to become proficient readers and learners.

We begin at the beginning to identify the goals and intentions of the student. Will the skills acquired be utilized for understanding of a specific content area, subject matter, or used for personal enjoyment and enrichment? Next, discuss how you plan on utilizing your newly acquired skill, beginning by determining the holes in learning and begin to fill in the gaps. ascertaining the student’s learning style, what prior knowledge or learning experience do you have? I like teaching through the application of skills once they are acquired, and then using the skills as building blocks to help the student understand how the developmental skills build on each other.
