About Celine
Hi! My name is Celine. I am a native Spanish speaker and have been teaching dual language students for the past 10 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the Universidad Continente Americano in Guanajuato, Mexico and a master's degree in Teaching English Language Learners from the University of Washington. I describe myself as a patient and empathetic teacher who enjoys sharing my love for the Spanish language with anyone who is eager to learn.

I teach dual language students from grades K-3 and any student who wants to learn Spanish. I create a supportive environment, encouraging my students to express themselves in both languages, fostering language development. I employ diverse teaching materials, incorporating grade level literature, media, and real-life scenarios to reinforce language skills. I enjoy creating dynamic, interactive, and tailored lessons that meet the unique needs of my students. New students can expect to learn basic vocabulary, phonics, and grammar. While students who are more advanced can expect lessons that encourage them to speak, read and write in Spanish. During our first lesson we can talk about your goals and create a plan that will meet your learning needs.
