About Lyndsey
I have been giving lessons for almost a year. I have experience with a wide variety of students and subjects.
I tutored at the Alternative School in my district.
I also interned in a 5th grade classroom where a lot of tutoring was completed.
I have tutored approximately 20 students (including all in my 5th grade classroom)
After tutoring students their confidence and grades increased. I firmly believe that if the appropriate amount of time is given every student can be successful!

I have a high school diploma and am currently enrolled at the University of Sioux Falls for elementary education. Although I am only a freshman, I already have 31 college credits in various subjects.
As a tutor I strive to make a difference in a students learning. Therefore, my lessons will be set up as so:
- review previous material
-introduce new material
-practice, practice, practice!
In all reality, each tutoring session is about the child so lesson plans will be modified to fit the individuals needs.
As a teacher I believe education is NOT a one size fits all system. Every child is different and needs vary. As a teacher I will be patient, understanding, and supportive.
I understand what students go through when they do not understand a certain subject. For example, when I was in 5th grade I struggled with math. My teacher spent time with me and was very patient. I have now completed all the math classes I need in college. I also passed Calculus with an A.
I strive to model my teaching off of the patience and kindness my 5th grade math teacher showed me.
