About Kalei
I am finishing my junior year at Wheaton College, where I am pursuing a degree in elementary education with an endorsement in middle-grade language arts. My main goal for tutoring is to harness the best way for students to learn, and teach them how to take that into their entire academic career. Outside of tutoring, I love the outdoors and an active lifestyle. I also have three dogs at home I love to talk about!

I love to teach relationally! I have found to be able to tutor well, I need to be able to connect well with the students. The more they are relaxed and feel safe, the more willing they are to make mistakes and learn from them. A typical tutoring session depends on the topic we are building on. Normally, we will start with a quick relational catchup, followed by review of what we have learned or context for the lesson, and the main topic for the day. I love hands-on, so there will be a lot of visual learning experiences. My aim target audience is elementary students grades 1-5!
