I am an educator that has been helping students succeed and improve through fun and engaging activities for 6 years. I have taught in Kindergarten through Third Grade classrooms, with a specialty in Reading (Master's in Literacy) and Math (done a lot of professional development).

Learning is not something done to children but something that they do, that they discover. I believe it is a teacher's role to provide a situation, materials, and questions and let the students do the learning. The teacher can guide the student but students need to be doing the work of learning. This leads to deeper student understanding, student engagement, and student memory of the discoveries they have made.
