About Jackie
I have a master's degree in elementary education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction, and I am certified in the state of Texas with a Generalist license, grades Early Childhood through 6th grade. I have been teaching in elementary classrooms for the last 15 years, but I also have experience teaching in preschools and middle schools.

My teaching method involves breaking down each lesson into smaller, more manageable chunks and utilizing prior knowledge to make new content easier to understand. I believe that there is not just one set way to learn a concept, so I tailor the learning to the individual learner to ensure my lessons are taught in the way the student learns best. My lessons are for students aged kindergarten through 5th grade, and I can work with any content in the classroom, but my specialties are math and writing.
