About Kimberly
I'm a NJ certified teacher with a Master's degree in Mental Health Therapy and a passion for helping young learners build real confidence in math. I specialize in K–2 students and use hands-on, activity-based teaching because I know that at this age, kids learn best when they're engaged, moving, and having fun. My background in mental health means I understand the whole child — not just the academics — and I create a calm, encouraging space where every child feels capable. Whether your child is just starting out or needs to catch up, I meet them exactly where they are.

My K–2 math sessions are designed to build a strong foundation through hands-on, activity-based learning that makes numbers feel real and fun — not scary.
Every session is tailored to your child's current level and focuses on:
Number Sense — understanding what numbers mean, not just memorizing them
Addition & Subtraction — using manipulatives, counting games, and visual tools so concepts truly click
Place Value — tens and ones made simple through interactive activities
Basic Operations — building speed and confidence through guided practice and play
I use physical objects, movement, and games to keep young learners engaged because at this age, the best learning happens when kids don't even realize they're learning.
Sessions are 45–60 minutes and available online via Zoom. Every child gets a personalized approach — no one-size-fits-all worksheets here.
