About Paul
I am a 59 yr.-old male with academic interests in mathematics, physics, technology, etc..
My domestic life is understated and comfortable, with good friends and acquaintances. Hobbies center around the South Florida waters, (swimming, diving and metal detecting in the ocean).
I consider myself a well-rounded person, with plenty of patience.
My weak points include extroversion (I talk too much).
Ironically, my strongest skill is communication.

Standard presentation of +,-, x and div. operators.
Mixed-mode approach to necessary rote learning, generally including supplemental ''behind the scenes" discussion. (i.e. basic relationship between + and x operations, etc.)
A typical lesson plan might consist of intro. to fractions, their scope, special-case equivalence to decimal representation, as well as, the related nomenclature and mechanics.
My experience in conveying technical concepts, in general, and an intuitive ability to recognize students' confusion over easily clarifiable, but common, stumbling blocks is my greatest asset as an instructor.
Depending on numerous variables, these lessons may be suitable for 3rd-5th graders.
