I focus on breaking complex concepts into simple, understandable steps, making sure students truly grasp the “why” behind what they’re learning, not just memorizing. I adapt my teaching style to each student, whether that means visual explanations, step-by-step problem solving, or real-world examples. I also reinforce learning through active practice and consistent feedback.
A typical session starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention. From there, I introduce or revisit key concepts, walking through examples together before transitioning into guided practice. I gradually shift responsibility to the student to ensure independence, and we close with a summary and targeted practice for continued improvement.
I work with students at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels in both math and English. This includes help with homework, test preparation, strengthening fundamentals, and improving writing and reading comprehension skills. I also support students who need extra structure as well as those aiming to get ahead.
