About Ryan
Over the past seven years, I’ve been fortunate to teach guitar to students ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players, mostly in school and college settings. What makes this work so special is the opportunity to witness transformation—not just in skill level, but in the way students view themselves. I teach foundational guitar techniques with clarity and patience, covering posture, hand movement, chord changes, and rhythm development. But I also focus on what many traditional lessons overlook: creativity, musical identity, and emotional expression. I introduce improvisation and songwriting early on, using simple tools to help students experiment with their own ideas. Whether we’re working on a student’s favorite song or developing a custom practice plan, the goal is always progress that feels meaningful. One of my favorite experiences was helping a student arrange and record their own acoustic track from scratch—a moment that showed them what they were truly capable of. I bring positive energy to each session, encourage questions, and offer honest but gentle feedback that helps students move forward with confidence. I believe learning guitar should feel like a journey of discovery—and I’m here to help guide that journey every step of the way.
