About Jadon
I have a BS in environmental engineering from Portland State University and achieved a 3.73 GPA. I have tutored mathematics at the local community college for one year. I also have experienced learning things (mostly other languages) virtually, and know what makes a for good tutor. I have assisted friends with math homework. In general, I love math and I love it when I can help someone achieve a solid understanding of something that will lead them to success in whatever goals they have.
I remember failing the first exam in Calculus II, and thinking that my engineering education was over before it had begun. Nevertheless, thanks to persistence, practice, and other people's tutoring and encouragement, I learned how to achieve that moment of clarification, the "click", that allowed me to pass the class with an A. This is my goal for you. I want you to truly get it.

“Click”. That is the feeling you get when you understand something for the first time. My approach is to guide you through whatever concepts and problems you are struggling to learn until they click in your brain. I am patient, and will do minimal hand-holding while you work on a problem. I’ll explain the overall concepts behind the problem so you can really understand what is going on, and be able to independently solve other similar and more advanced problems.
My lessons will consist of you explaining to me all that you already know pertaining to a problem/concept, then attempting to solve a problem on which you might be stuck. I will then determine if you were taught a certain concept that will allow you to finish solving the problem. If not, I will explain the concept and work with you to solve the problem. I will repeat this kind of process with you until the whole thing ‘clicks’ in your brain.
I can tailor my lessons for people of all ages and all levels up to calculus I and II, depending on each student’s personality and needs.
