About Dat
I’m an international student pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors). I taught myself programming at 14 and published a game at 16, and since then I’ve built a habit of breaking problems into clear, logical steps. Outside of engineering, I’m a bookworm and picked up an interest in psychology. Reading in this area has helped me become more self-aware, connect with students and use strategies to boost their learning.
I had tutored a primary school student in Math and Science, achieving a remarkable improvement in academic performance with scores from 70 to 90–100 within the first month of sessions.
I had also supported a Year 12 student with HSC Math and drastically boost her confidence in taking the exam.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students build strong problem-solving skills by breaking down questions into clear, logical steps. I guide students to understand the underlying systems and concepts in mathematics before tackling the problem itself, so they can apply the same thinking to new challenges.
Lessons are flexible, ranging from 1 to 2 hours depending on each student’s needs. I am committed to adapting my methods, finding different ways to explain concepts, and ensuring every student feels supported. I encourage interactive learning, as visualizations often make understanding easier and more engaging. Additionally, I provide small homework assignments to help students strengthen their understanding and be able to solve problems on their own.
My sessions are designed for primary and high school students who want to strengthen their understanding and confidence in math and science.
