About Devanshi
Hello! I’m Devanshi, an engineering student at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a strong background in Mathematics and Chemistry. I enjoy teaching because I genuinely like helping students understand concepts in a simpler and less stressful way. During my time tutoring middle school students, I realized that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because the material is often not explained in a way that works for them.
My teaching style focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, easy-to-understand steps and creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. I also adapt my lessons based on each student’s learning style and pace so that they can improve both their understanding and confidence in the subject. My goal is not only to help students score better, but also to make Math and Chemistry feel much more approachable and manageable.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and focused on helping each student learn in a way that suits them best. I believe that strong understanding comes from building concepts step-by-step rather than memorizing formulas or methods without understanding them. I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and actively participating during lessons.
For Mathematics and Chemistry, I simplify difficult topics into smaller, manageable concepts and reinforce them through guided practice and problem-solving. I also help students develop exam strategies, logical thinking, and confidence in approaching challenging questions. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to make students feel more comfortable and capable in the subject.
Typically, my lessons last around 1 hour, which allows enough time to revise concepts, work through examples, and practice questions effectively while keeping lessons engaging and productive. I adapt each lesson based on the student’s pace, strengths, and areas that need improvement.
As an engineering student at NUS, I understand how challenging it can be to balance rigorous academics and demanding CCAs and I want to help make it easier for you :)
