Hi! I've been tutoring for the past four years and have taught 40+ students in Math, English, and ESL. I've worked in both group and individual classes and have had experience working with people of different ages and study styles. My teaching method is truly getting to know the student that I'm tutoring and finding what works best for them. I like to create a comfortable and friendly environment in my sessions where students are encouraged and applauded for stepping outside of their comfort zones by participating and asking questions. A typical lesson plan includes reviewing work from the past session, learning new material, working through practice problems together, and finally, having students work through problems aloud to see where their understanding is lacking.
