About Samantha
I recently graduated high school from the Loomis Chaffee School in May and will be attending Yale University in the fall, where I plan on studying mechanical engineering. My most recent math course was Multivariable Calculus. The year prior, I received a 5 on my Calculus BC Exam. I have taught numerous girls how to play chess, tutored in language proficiency, and helped peers with math understanding. My goal is to make my students feel confident in their understanding and abilities.

I provide my students with real world applications as well as explanations of the "math world" purpose to give value and perspective to each concept. We start with the general idea, work on examples together, and then try some on our own. I am a kind and engaged tutor, who will answer all questions to help build understanding. My lessons are for elementary and middle school students.
