My approach as a tutor is to meet my client over video calls and help them to understand the why of math. So many schools only teach kids how to do math but don't teach them why or how different concepts are interconnected. I believes this understanding helps people to truly understand math and not just memorize steps. A typical lesson plan for me would be to piggy-back what my client is learning in school and just help them to understand what they are already learning. We would go over homework, example problems, etc. until our time runs out. I am very passionate about my love for math and hope my clients will be too before I am done with them.
