About Douglas
I deeply enjoy enabling students to reach their full potential and I truly believe that every student’s potential is greater than what their fears and doubts tell them. It certainly was the case for me.
I am an honors engineering student at Penn State University. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I have tutored multiple different engineering classes, while taking them myself.
In fact, I have been asked to tutor in subjects where others were knowledgeable, simply because I was better at explaining the concepts.
When I started my college career, I was often astonished at the natural talent that others had, and the little work they had to put in. That was never the case for me. I had to learn to build a fundamental understanding of the subjects and change the way I thought about the class. Even now, I’m still adapting my habits to new classes.
