About Vishakha
Hello! My name is Shay, i’m 21 years old from Maryland and New York. I have been teaching for 3 years after being an assistant teacher for 1. My hourly rate is not necessarily fixed, i’m happy to help regardless of your current financial status. I worked with kids that learning disabilities for 3 years, alongside children that required a more basic teaching style. Teaching is something I find very fulfilling and honestly-fun! I love developing bonds with my students, which helps me create a positive and fun atmosphere for learning. I have strong foundations in English and the arts and am comfortable tutoring for those subject with kids up to 16 years old. I understand that a classroom environment can be intimidating, I always make it my mission to ensure nobody feels out of place or unable to complete a task.

I have developed comprehensive lessons that would assist in reading comprehension as well as writing, grammar, and spelling for kids between the ages of 7-16. I have a series activities I use to encourage complex thinking and ensures my students leave loving english! I tend to be very hands on, and more than willing to provide whatever level of assistance is needed. My passion for teaching and shaping the youth have made it so that I am able to develop healthy teacher-student relationships, where my students never feel afraid to ask as many questions as they have, which in turn makes me a better teacher for them!
