Qualified Secondary School teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Teaching English/ Dance. I have 15 years teaching experience in Australian Schools teaching both Methods from Year 7-VCE. Including in-class tutoring and literacy support. My teaching approach focuses on empowering students with strong high school English skills. I prioritize teaching written structure, guiding students in developing compelling ideas, and providing thorough editing support. By fostering a supportive environment and tailoring lessons to individual needs, I aim to inspire confidence and foster a lifelong love for effective communication. My teaching philosophy extends to supporting students completing VCE Dance by providing feedback on composition and technique in solos, alongside assistance with essay writing, analysis, and exam preparation. Perfect! Excellent english teacher for my son, thanks so much Emily.
- Dylan worked very well during our first session. He was able to complete his plan for his persuasive speech. We then went through the structure of his essay. At the end of the lesson we worked on a hook for his speech, finishing with a clear direction for Dylan to start writing his draft to show his classroom teacher.Emily's response :
