I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish. I speak academic Spanish with a neutral 'bogotano' accent. Although I am an economist by profession, I have experience working as a translator for a local government in California.

As with anything, if you want to become proficient in sounding as native-like as possible, you need to invest the time. However, investing the time is not a guarantee for success.
