I’m a tutor with 12+ years of experience helping students develop strong skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. My approach goes beyond grammar and comprehension—I focus on teaching students how to think, analyze, and communicate ideas clearly, both in school and in life.
I work with students on:
• Reading and literary analysis – exploring both classic and modern texts, including Homer, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, as well as Aldous Huxley, Isaac Asimov, and Frank Herbert
• Essay writing & editing – structure, clarity, argumentation, and style
• Personal statements & resumes – presenting yourself effectively for college or work applications
• ESL support – vocabulary, fluency, reading comprehension, and writing
• Film and storytelling analysis – understanding narrative, themes, and character development
As a filmmaker and screenwriter, I bring a unique lens to lessons, showing students how stories are structured and how ideas can be expressed creatively and clearly.
My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them become independent, confident learners and communicators. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, making learning engaging, effective, and practical.
