About Rosalind
I have retired from school teaching and moved from London to Hastings to live with my daughter, her husband and their two young children. I am still passionate about literature and helping young people to achieve their full potential in this important area of learning, and I continue to work privately with students who need support in English study. I particularly like fostering enjoyment and skill in the appreciation of poetry, an area many students struggle with.

I work with students’ individual learning styles, based on early assessment and my own observations. I have considerable experience of years 9 and 10, from 15 years as an English teacher in a London Comprehensive school, and working with individual students referred to me by friends, pupils’ parents and colleagues. I can boost grades in tests at all levels, particularly GCSE and A level. I am also happy to work with students in the lower years of secondary school who struggle with reading and writing, possibly from undiagnosed dyslexia or other literacy problems.
