About Jessica
I’m Jess, and I’ve always had a passion for English, especially English Literature! I got into teaching when I was 18 because I really wanted to inspire young people to express themselves through English and creative writing. My degree is in Musical Theatre which allowed me to really get my teeth stuck into creative thinking and problem solving and I’ve carried that through me with all my teaching and tutoring endeavours. I then moved to Japan to teach English as a second language to junior high school students. Whilst in Japan and teaching in schools I also tutored privately to students of all ages and abilities in English and English Literature.

I have a very chilled out approach to teaching and I like to implement creative learning such as different learning games, low pressure fun tasks, treasure hunt learning and more. I believe everyone has a unique way of learning and once we work together to figure out how you learn most effectively, we’ll have loads of fun whilst we make ourselves more confident with English!
