About Serenity
My journey in English began with a love of literature and writing, leading me to pursue a B.A in English Literature and an M.A in Applied Linguistics. Over 9 years, I have guided learners of various ages and skill levels, focusing on fluency, comprehension, and effective communication in a supportive, engaging environment.
I emphasise interactive, student-centred lessons combining grammar exercises, reading, writing, conversation, and discussion. Lessons are tailored, engaging, and designed to inspire curiosity and confidence. I encourage learners to explore ideas, ask questions, and express themselves clearly in both written and spoken English.
Beyond teaching, I engage with literature, language research, and contemporary discourse to enrich lessons with relevant examples. Watching students progress from hesitant speakers to confident communicators is immensely rewarding. Supporting their intellectual, linguistic, and personal growth remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

English lessons are most impactful when learners engage with reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a cohesive and interactive way. I focus on grammar, vocabulary expansion, conversational fluency, reading comprehension, essay writing, and structured discussion. Lessons incorporate storytelling, roleplay, debates, and practical exercises to encourage active engagement and reinforce language skills. Students gain confidence in both social and academic communication, while developing critical thinking and expressive abilities.
Lessons are tailored according to the learner’s proficiency and goals. Beginners work on sentence construction, everyday conversation, basic vocabulary, and pronunciation.
