About Steven
I have 19 years' experience as an English as a foreign language teacher, teaching in the UK and overseas. During this time, I have taught every level from complete beginner to proficiency, Business English, EAP and Cambridge Exam courses from PET to CAE. I hold both a CELTA and a Certificate in Further Education Teaching with ESOL subject specialism, which gives me full Qualified Teacher Status. For the previous 10 years I have worked as a Further Education Lecturer in English for Speakers of Other Languages. I now teach one-to-one privately as a home business.
I am a friendly, approachable person. Having worked in Indonesia, Turkey and Italy, and travelled all over the world, I am sensitive to the needs of students from many different cultures and backgrounds.

Steven is a teacher who always finds the appropriate way to interact with a student! I think this is because he has a brilliant sense about how a English lesson can be developed. Considering every particular student and its specific needs. Quite friendly with a huge capacity for all aspects of teaching, very well-informed and prepared how to spot and recognise a problem. Without any hesitation goes deep into it, owns good abilities to assess what is the reason that causes the problem and also has remarkable skills in finding the solution of it!
