About Kimberley
I come from England (the south), have a neutral and easy to understand accent. I am TEFL qualified. I have tutored children and adults for various subjects, intermittently for about 10 years. I prefer individual lessons to groups, but I am happy to teach small groups so that we can focus on the individual needs of the students.

When learning a new language, most people find it difficult and lack confidence when speaking this new language, even if they understand the concepts or words on paper. For this reason, I like to encourage as much conversation in my lessons, with a contextual approach. I think it is useful to have themed classes - for example, "going to the beach", in this lesson we would explore the vocabulary, verbs, and common expressions, and so on. used while traveling to or when at the beach.
I explain logical ways to understand or remember words.
Finally, it is important to make the lessons fun and adaptable - if you want to intervene with a question or your own topic- it's great! As I said before, the most important part of learning a new language is gaining confidence in speaking. Therefore, if we talk throughout the lesson about something you want to talk about, it's a big sign of progress for me.
