About Mari
I am Marina, I am a young professional living in London and I am looking to work as a teacher in order to share my knowledge and passion for the English language. I came to the UK over 4 years ago driven by this passion, which has also led me to attend University in London studying English with Creative Writing. Thanks to this experience I was able to strengthen my language skills and establish myself in the academic field.
I believe that having learnt English as my second language (my mother tongue is Italian) I am more aware of the complications of learning this language, which allows me to better comprehend my students' limits and therefore help overcome them. Plus, I have an excellent grasp of grammar rules – having studied them for years – and of both conversational and formal speaking.

I like to tailor my classes to the students, their level of knowledge and general interests.
I have taught children from 6 to 12 years of age and, as a language tutor for younger students, I usually like to involve them with games, riddles and more colourful lessons, in order to make the learning experience fun and entertaining.
I have also studied and obtained a TEFL (Teach English as Foreign Language) certificate, which has given me the tools to teach to a larger variety of students, thanks to specific lesson plans and further resources.
Lessons typically are 1 or 2 hours long and can be scheduled remotely or in person.
