About Izzy
Hi, I’m Izzy. I am a recent First-Class Graduate in English Literature from Durham University. I am friendly, approachable and patient. I understand that exams can be daunting and it can be frustrating to feel like you’re not making progress. I am passionate about English Studies and very keen to see students flourish. I am organised and methodical and will make learning as simple and enjoyable as possible!

My lessons are 1 hour long, allowing time to get to know students and create a supportive environment while also covering a topic/skill per lesson in detail. I will focus on the development of key skills such as critical analysis, whilst reinforcing effective exam techniques. We will discuss set texts, consider unseen material and examine the key themes authors introduce. I have a First Class degree in English Literature and achieved 9A*s at GCSE (including English Literature and Language) and A*A*A at A-Level (English Literature, Psychology and History). Having achieved these grades throughout my academic career I have become knowledgeable about how to excel within the UK exam system. I endeavour to teach my students with sensitivity towards the stress of exams and support students in any challenges they are facing.
