About Brenna
Hi there, I'm Brenna! I'm 21 and have recently graduated from the University of York with a degree in English and Related Literature.
I studied English Literature at GCSE and A-Level, coming out with an 8 and an A respectively. I understand that English is not for everyone, but it is my goal to inspire students to be passionate about what they're writing, whatever their topic or argument may be.
Whether you love English Literature and want to pursue it in the future like myself, or hate it and simply desire to pass and move on, I feel prepared to offer the appropriate tips and tricks to get you where you wish to go!

Classes will be taught referring to a powerpoint presentation (which will be sent to the student post-lesson for them to refer back to), however the participation/active aspect of the lesson will be prioritised. Student participation and engagement is key to the lesson, and questions are not just welcomed but encouraged.
The typical length of a lesson is between 45-60 minutes, however this can be adjusted to fit a time frame or depending on the specific student's attention span.
I have just finished my third year of an English Literature degree, and have assisted school-age children with reading and writing for the past 5 years.
My lessons are available from primary age students to A-Level students of any capability, as I will cater the lessons difficulty and intensity to the requirements of the student.
