About Seonaid
I am 25 years old, a two-time graduate from the University of Cape Town, I also am also certified to teach English as a foreign language. I have tutored students since high school, I enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge, especially the English subject.
I have helped several students significantly improve their grade and read/speak more confidently. I love board games, so I love incorporating that into lessons.

I always ensure lessons do not feel like another classroom lesson. Building a relationship with my students is very important to me, for them to trust me as a 'teacher' and feel comfortable in the learning space. A typical lesson starts with a little icebreaker and then I like to have students summarize the previous lesson and then tell me what they understand about today's lesson topic. I then start with a simplified explanation, examples, have a Q&A and then we practice. I work with students who have a low understanding or exposure to the English language as well as students who are looking to improve their grade. I teach grade 4-12, mainly CAPS curriculum.
