About Riya
Hello everyone! I'm Riya, and I’m so glad to be your English teacher. I’ve completed my graduation in English Honors, and ever since I can remember, I’ve had a deep love for the language — not just the grammar and vocabulary, but the stories, the poetry, the way words can express thoughts, feelings, and ideas so powerfully. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn and improve — all it takes is the right guidance, a little patience, and a lot of encouragement. As someone who has graduated with a degree in English Honours and has a genuine love for the language, literature, and the art of expression, teaching English is more than a profession for me — it's a passion. I believe that language is not just a subject, but a powerful tool for communication, creativity, and confidence. I aim to make English feel approachable and alive, rather than just a set of rules or texts. In terms of structure, my classes usually begin with a warm-up activity—this could be a quick recap, a vocabulary game, or a thought-provoking question. This is followed by the main lesson, where I introduce the topic, explain it using examples, and involve students in the process. Then we move to guided practice—this might be a writing task, a speaking activity, or a reading exercise. Finally, I end the class with a short recap and a reflective question or takeaway for the students to think about.
