About Georgia
As an English literature graduate with a passion for teaching, I have dedicated the past four years to helping students enhance their communication and speaking skills. My journey in literature began during my university years, where I was captivated by the power of words and the depth of human experience conveyed through literary works. This fascination with literature inspired me to pursue a career in education, where I could share my love for reading and writing with students of all ages.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education should be both engaging and empowering. I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and open discussion. By tailoring my lessons to the interests and needs of my students, I ensure that each session is relevant and stimulating. Whether we are dissecting the themes of a Shakespearean play or exploring contemporary poetry, my goal is to make literature accessible and enjoyable, sparking a lifelong interest in reading and analysis.
In addition to my focus on literature, I place a strong emphasis on developing communication and speaking skills. I believe that the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and confidently is essential for success in any field. In my English literature lessons, I aim to foster a love for reading and a deep understanding of literary works. Each session begins with a brief discussion to connect with the students' current reading experiences and interests. This sets the stage for the day's lesson and helps me tailor the content to their individual preferences and needs. By starting with familiar territory, students feel more comfortable and engaged right from the start.
The core of the lesson revolves around exploring various literary texts, ranging from classic novels and poetry to modern short stories and essays. I use a mix of reading aloud, group discussions, and individual analysis to delve into the themes, characters, and stylistic elements of each work. This multifaceted approach ensures that students not only understand the content but also appreciate the broader context and the author's intentions. To complement the textual analysis, I incorporate lessons on communication and speaking skills.
